Pennsylvania Lumbermen's Museum

The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum Documents the History and Technology of the Commonwealth's Forest Industries

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum's Web Site. The Museum preserves and interprets the colorful heritage of the Commonwealth's prosperous lumber era when white pine and hemlock were the wealth of the nation.

Take a tour of the grounds where a 1912 Shay-geared logging locomotive, Barnhart Log Loader, Brookville locomotive and restored CCC Cabin are on display. Experience the rugged lifestyle of the woodhicks in our re-created logging camp. Watch our sawmill turn logs into lumber by joining us during the thirty-sixth annual Bark Peelers' Convention on July 3 & 4, 2010. Or join us for the Envirothon on May 6, 2010, Family Field Day in August of 2010, and Discover Your Heritage Days on October 9 & 10, 2010.

Winter Schedule: December 1 through March 31
The Museum is closed until April 1, 2010.
